Fallout: New Vegas is a post-nuclear role-playing game developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda Softworks. It, despite not being a direct sequel, uses the Gambryo engine, same as Fallout 3.
The game was released on October 19, 2010 in North America, October 22, 2010 in Europe, and November 4, 2010 in Asia. It is available on the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
The game takes place in the nuclear Mojave Wasteland, based off the Mojave Desert near Las Vegas, Nevada, in the 50's oriented world of the Fallout universe. It takes place in the areas around the Vegas Strip.
The game is told through the eyes of The Courier, a Mojave Express courier carrying the Platinum chip. He is ambushed by Great Khans, accompanying a man named Benny, who steals the platinum chip and shoots the Courier in the head. The courier is awoken on October 19, three days later, in Doc Mitchell's house. Upon returning to sense and starting to get accustomed to the Wasteland again the Courier goes through many settlements and quest to confront Benny (optional in some storylines). The Courier must then choose a side to fight for at The Second Battle of Hoover Dam.
